I, myself am not really fond of love triangles and such, especially harem. I really really hate harem. lol. So I'm listing here all the anime that I've watched that doesn't have love triangle. (Maybe just some minor character declaring rivalry on the protagonist but disappeared on the story sooner or later. lol)
Here's the list: (Alphabetical order)
- Akagami no Shirayuki Hime - This one had a little bit of hints that another guy likes Shirayuki but they didn't attempt to take her away from Zen. They just supported the relationship of the two. So there's no really love triangle in here. I personally like this anime.
- Akatsuki no Yona - Hearing about the story from others really gave me a fright of watching this one. lol. And I thought at first that this is harem because of fanfics. Urghhh! But I watched it in the end and liked it. People are saying that there's a love triangle in here since Yona likes Soo Won, and Hak likes Yona, and the other Dragons are attracted to Yona. As I watched this one, I realized that Yona had feelings for Hak but is blinded by her attachment to Soo Won so she really didn't realize her feelings at first. Hak supported Yona's "feelings" for Soo Won because he loves both of them. The Dragons here are attracted to Yona mostly because of their dragon blood, along with Yoon, they are supporting the budding romance of Yona and Hak. You'll mostly understand it if you also read the manga though. hahaha
- Arakawa Under the Bridge - This one is more focused on the comedy than the romance part.
- B Gata H K - This one had a minor rival, a very very minor one. It's actually not that important I'd say.
- Baby Steps - This one is focused on the sports genre of the story. The romance bloomed more towards the end. It had a love rival but it didn't really do anything much about the main characters.
- Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou - This one is quite slow on the romance part but I liked it anyway. I guess this one is just for relaxation. haha
- Busou Renkin - They really didn't put the romance on the genre but if you watch it, it's definitely there. It's good.
- Chuunibyou Demo Koi Ga Shitai - First season didn't really have any love rival. Second season, there was one but it's only that the other girl is the only one who likes the main guy but she didn't try to steal him from the main girl, she supported their relationship instead. And the main guy only had his eyes on the main girl.
- Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge - I liked the story at first but the episodes towards the ending became somewhat boring and annoying especially the end part!!! (SPOILER ALERT!!!) when someone else stole the guys first kiss for fun really annoyed me!!! Even the review in Japan said that the ending was not good. Watch at your own risk. lol. It was good except for the ending. If I can, I'd really change it.
- Dragonaut the Resonance - It's good. There's almost a love triangle but it really wasn't like that so it's okay.
- Eureka Seven - It's a little slow but the romance starts budding in the middle of the story.
- Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun - Not really that focused on the Romance because it's more on Comedy but this is one of my favorites. You'll not regret watching it.
- Itazura na Kiss - Another favorite. It had some sort of love triangle but it didn't really bother the Main protagonists. I like it because it's not annoying and it has a happy ending. hahaha
- Kaichou wa Maid-sama - Another favorite. Everybody knows this one I guess. In the manga, there was a little bit of "another guy trying to take the main girl from the main guy" but of course Misaki just ignored him since she only has her eyes on Usui Takumi. <3
- Karin - This anime is quite old but the Romance is good.
- Kimi ni Todoke - Another favorite. I like how innocent they are. >_< kyaaa!!
- Kiseijuu - Sei no Kakuritsu (PARASYTE) - This one is sort of gross. My cousin said it's worse than Tokyo Ghoul. hahaha! But I like it anyway. The Romance is not really the focus point on this but it's there along in the story.
- Kyoukai no Kanata - I just watched this recently because I didn't have the idea that this is gooood!! I'm so stupid that I ignored this one for a very long time. hahaha! Anyway, I recommend this one.
- Lamune - This one is good. This would've been my favorite if it not only for one, single episode that I really didn't like when another girl tried to take all the main guys time from the main girl during their school trip/camp sort of, whatever, I forgot. lol. Urghh! I really felt annoyed towards that girl even though she became their friend. Anyway, they didn't really had any love triangle though. I was just personally annoyed on that episode. Hahaha. I still recommend this anime.
- Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja nai to Omotta - I was hesitant at first because of the cover, I thought it was some sort of harem but it wasn't. It's good, although I would've loved it if they stepped up their romance to another level. hohoho...
- Nijiiro Days - I love this one! It's a romance anime from the point of view of the guy which is rare. I actually want more episodes from this anime. <3
- Nodame Cantabile - Classical Music related anime. I so totally relate to this one since I graduated as Bachelors of Music in Piano. The romance is good and funny. It's quite long but you'll like it. There's a funny gay rival but they're just really friends. Anyways, just watch it. haha
- Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji - There was a little bit of love triangle sorts at the first few episodes but it's only just to stir up the feelings of the Main guy and make him admit that he has feelings for the girl so it was alright. I even read the manga and didn't get annoyed so you have to watch this one. lol
- Ookami to Koushinryou - Well..... It's good. Maybe depends on your mood. They really didn't have a love rival. I just didn't sort of understood the story because it's about business of some sort and I wasn't in the mood when I watched it. But I still recommend this one.
- Ore Monogatari - This one is cute. hahaha! The Main guy is not good looking, his friend is. But you'll still love and appreciate the story. Just watch it! haha
- Ouda Nobuna no Yabou - The Main guy and girl didn't really had love triangle though this one had some sort of harem-ish atmosphere. But they both love each other so... If I may say so, I'd like to know more about Nobuna's brother's love story with his bride. It really piqued my interest. hahahaha
- Ouran High School Host club - Harem-ish but not really. It's more focused on Comedy so it's not much focused on the romance part, I guess because the Main guy is clueless. -_- doesn't understand his own feelings lol. He even thought of it as just some sort of parental love hahahaha! Weirdo.
- Perfect Girl Evolution - You'll really think of this as harem at first but no, it's not like that. There are a lot of good looking guys BUT they all have their own romance. The Main guy and girl's romance are just the focus. Watch it, it's good! One of my faves.
- REC - This is good, though it's really short. They should've made it a little longer. haha
- Re-Life - Favorite!!! <3 Watch it! Read the Manga too. haha
- Servant x Service - Favorite!!! You'll like this one. <3
- Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii - I like this one even though the Main guy is a child. hahahahaha I would've want him for myself. Kidding. hahaha
- Sousei no Onmyouji - Another girl liked the main guy but it's not like she interfered with their relationship. Still became one of my favorites although the anime had a little different story than the manga but I still like the anime. I liked how their romance developed. <3
- Special A - It's good! The girl is just dense and just can't realize that the guy likes her and she also likes him. lol
- Sukitte Ii Na Yo - Another girl did try to take away the main guy from the main girl but that part is just one of the struggles of the relationship of the two so it's not that major.
- Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun - I think personally that the anime didn't have much romance in it so I continued reading it in manga. There's a little bit of "love rival" but well he just fails all the time. The anime is focused on the "friendship" part, I guess. Well, that's only my opinion. Anyway, watch it. It's still enjoyable.
This is as far as I can remember lol.
I hope you like them as I did. Although some of the list did have some minor love rival/triangle problems, it's not like the other person cheated or something. You'll know what I mean if you watch it. All of these are quite enjoyable to watch and you won't really get stressed out after watching it. hahaha
